A FAB FEB FOR FUN!
Another February …
but this one is different!
That’s right! Bad Bunny turned America on its head with an outstanding performance during an enjoyable Super Bowl! You just can’t beat the combination of MAGA meltdown and Patriots loss! (Did I say that?)
And this was particularly powerful for me during Black History Month, because so much of Africa’s heritage and legacy to the Western Hemisphere was on display and implied by the Bad Bunny presentation. So much of our American culture is rooted in Africa.
Trivial side notes:
(1) I sense a strong psychic kinship between Bad Bunny and the late Prince.
(2) I will never forgive Liquid I.V. for their Super Bowl ad that used toilets to “smear” one of my favorite pop ballads, Phil Collins’ “Against All Odds”. Oh, the humanity!
(3) My favorite ad was the intriguingly loaded Redfin Rocket Mortgage ad featuring “It’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighborhood.” Yeah, I can be sappy, too …
Come join us!
next Monday night!!!
No cover charge, great music and great food!
I am thrilled and honored to share the stage with my people’s music network colleagues: the hysterical and dynamic Joel Landy, the profound professor and Cuatro maestro, Mario Cancel-Bigay, the powerfully moving VeraForLove, and my Oledude Ensemble mates: Barbara Frankel on flute, Barry Kornhauser on cello, Jonathan Finkelman on bass, and Beau Brady on drums!
Seating is limited, but
the good vibes are infinite!
No cover charge!
Special thanks to the event producer, impresario Ruben Gonzalez!!!
HELP!
As you know, streaming hurts 95% of songwriters and performers.
If you use SPOTIFY, would you do me a quick and FREE favor?
Please visit my ALL THINGS OLEDUDE playlist and SAVE IT!
When it is convenient, please listen to my songs and save each one as you go!
please share the link with
family and friends!
In this distorted and corrupted corporate arts economy, streaming numbers matter.
THANK YOU!

WE WILL NOT LET THE FASCISTS WIN!
I have released a 58-minute album of music I am proud of. I am already using this collection of 11 works as a tool of relaxation and remembrance – and as a tool to recapture and refocus “joy” as an act of resistance! Music is the expression of our hopes and dreams for the best world we can be. It’s time to dance, play and sing!

It is my honor to report that I was elected to the Steering Committee of the People’s Music Network for Songs of Freedom and Struggle on January 24th. I was then elected by the Steering Committee to serve as its Chair for this year. We have big plans and we need more interested progressive artists and allies to join with us and make the plans real. Our nation is rallying to save democracy; music is an important part of the effort! You are an important part of the music! We can DO this!
